Why quarters matter
Quarter and fourth mean the same thing. US classrooms mostly say fourths; the bakery says quarters, and kids should be comfortable with both. They're a great next step after halves, because the link is visible: cut each half in two and 1/2 turns into 2/4.
This version of the game sticks to quarters and the fractions that connect to them, like 1/2, 2/8 and 6/8.

Questions
Are quarters and fourths the same?
Yes. One quarter and one fourth both mean 1/4: one of four equal parts.
Is the fraction game really free?
Yes. The whole game plays free in your browser, with no signup, no ads and no time limit. A Fraction Bakery app for iPhone is coming later, but the web game stays free.

Take the bakery with you, soon
A Fraction Bakery app for iPhone is on the way. The plan: offline play for the car, a parent report of which fractions have stuck, and the full bakery shelf of prizes. Until then, the whole game is free right here.
