What Is 12/12?
12/12 is twelve twelfths: all 12 parts, which makes exactly one whole.
12/12 = 1. The bottom number says the whole is cut into 12 equal parts, and the top says you have all 12 of them. As a decimal that's 1, and as a percent it's 100%.

Why 12/12 equals 1
Top and bottom are both 12, so divide both by 12: 12 ÷ 12 = 1 and 12 ÷ 12 = 1. That leaves 1/1, which is just 1.
Fractions equal to 12/12
Multiply the top and bottom by the same number and the amount doesn't change: 12 × 2 = 24 and 12 × 2 = 24, so 12/12 = 24/24. Times 3 gives 36/36. In the bakery, that's the same pie with every slice cut in two, then in three.

Cut into quarters, then split each quarter into three. A clock face already shows twelfths: every hour mark is one twelfth of the way around.
